Maite Pitsi – The Consequences of Sin

    Key Scriptures: Isaiah 55:2, 1 Peter 1:6–7

Sin begins with small compromises. Greed, lust, pride, unforgiveness, and dishonesty may seem insignificant, but one sin opens the door to many others. Isaiah 55:2 reminds us that the world can never truly satisfy the soul.

Sodom and Gomorrah show how tolerated sin spreads from individuals to entire communities. Sin always leads people further from God.

Trials refine our faith, making it more precious than gold (1 Peter 1:6–7). God remains faithful to rescue those who trust Him, calling us to reject sin and pursue righteousness.

Leslie Taruvinga – A Youthful and Obedient Heart

    Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 3:1–9, 1 Samuel 15:22, Luke 11:28

God works through humble and willing hearts. Samuel did not yet know God's voice, yet he responded, "Here I am." His willingness positioned him to receive God's revelation.

Doubt creates opportunities for the enemy to bring confusion, but obedience often comes before understanding. God desires obedience more than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22), and Jesus teaches that those who hear and obey God's Word are blessed (Luke 11:28). We must not become comfortable in our walk with God but remain ready to obey.

Blessing Sinamane – The Sign of Jonah: God's Mercy

Key Scriptures: Matthew 12:39, Ephesians 2:5, Psalm 51:17, Matthew 23:12

God's mercy withholds the judgment we deserve and provides a way to repent. Mercy begins with a humble and broken heart.

The prodigal son shows that repentance begins when we recognize our condition and return to the Father. The Pharisee and the tax collector remind us that humility attracts God's mercy, while pride keeps us from Him.

Jonah warns against delaying obedience, while Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46–52) and Peter's miraculous catch (John 21:3–6) demonstrate that faith, persistence, and obedience lead to God's blessing.

Final Lesson: Don't wait for the "big fish" before obeying God. His mercy invites repentance today, and obedience should never be delayed.
