• Jackmore's Session
    Jun 9 2026

This episode of Frankie B’s Reggae Session is served up with extra flavor, giving a big shoutout to Jackmore’s Restaurant in Lagos, Nigeria, bringing Jamaican food to the table in the heart of Lagos.

The session was built to move alongside the food: warm roots, conscious reggae, island soul, African connection, and enough bass to season the whole room. The first stretch sets the table with modern reggae voices including Chronixx, Protoje, Damian Marley, KA$E, YG Marley, BLVCK H3RO, Ras-I, Khalia, Rik Jam, JonQuan, Lovelier Phenomenon, Buju Banton, Samory I, Stephen Marley, Kumar Fyah, Stay Nice Music, and Levon Gray.

Special shine goes to Samory I, whose new album Revelation is out now. His track “Zion” lands right in the heart of the episode, bringing that spiritual, heavy roots-reggae weight. He also has summer dates lined up, including the UK and California.

Then, for the final third of the show, the session drops into the Deep Dive into Dub, curated with help from The Santa Cruz Mountain Boys: McConnell, Will, Luke, Sky, Ian, Richie, and AA. That final stretch leans into heavy basslines, stripped-down riddims, echo, tape delay, reverb trails, and the kind of dub pressure that keeps expanding the room.

Food, roots, dub, Lagos, Jamaica, and bass. This one is built for flavor.

  • The Early Fall Sesh
    Aug 15 2025

This week’s Frankie B’s Reggae Session brings together rising stars and reggae greats in one seamless mix. Nashville newcomer Levon Gray sets the tone with “Million Ways,” followed by Kayland Arnold’s smooth Florida groove on “U.” From Jamaica, Dahvid Slur teams with Karbon for “Do Jah Works,” while Claye and Gentleman bridge UK and EU sounds on “Nature (I Am Here Now).” Royal Blu, Mortimer, and Paris LaMont keep the energy high before the legendary Sister Nancy steps in with her classic “Bam Bam.”

Yeza links with Rory Stonelove for “Road Runner,” Lila Ike and Protoje take us “All Over The World,” and Barrington Levy joins Cutty Ranks for “Dance Hall Rock.” After the break, Cocoa Tea and Tarrus Riley uplift with “Good Life,” Naomi Cowan keeps it fresh with “Up To Di Time,” and Protoje rides the rhythm on “Feel It.” Christopher Martin, Cham, Damian & Stephen Marley, and another Royal Blu x Protoje link-up lead to Dahvid Slur’s “If It’s Not For Me” and Johnny Osbourne’s stirring “We Need Love.”

We wrap with a deep dive into dub, pulling the sound back to its roots. For more reggae stories and artist insights, check out Behind the Mic on YouTube.
