  • How to Protect the People You Love | Scott Neal
    Jun 29 2026

Not every danger announces itself. In the final message of the Sharks series, we discover that the greatest threats to our lives, marriages, and families often swim beneath the surface long before anyone notices. Drawing from John 10, Pastor Scott explores what it means to become a shepherd who protects, warns, and cares for the people God has entrusted to us. Whether you're a parent, spouse, grandparent, mentor, or friend, this message will challenge you to recognize danger early, lead with wisdom, and create a home where people can flourish instead of merely survive. In this message you'll discover: • Why Jesus calls Himself the Good Shepherd • How destructive patterns quietly develop • Practical ways parents can protect their children • Why warnings are an expression of love • How to care for those who have already been wounded If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope and wisdom today.

Part 2 of our series Sharks examines the life of Samson and the dangerous patterns that can quietly pull us under. Sometimes the danger isn't hidden. Sometimes the warning signs are obvious, but our appetites are stronger than our wisdom. Through Samson's story, we discover how ignoring red flags, repeating destructive patterns, and refusing to heal old wounds can lead us into dangerous waters. The good news is that even after failure, God's grace is greater than our mistakes.

  • Don't Take the Bait | Scott Neal

What if the greatest dangers in your life don't look dangerous at all?

In Part 1 of our new series, SHARKS: Recognize What's Dangerous Before It Pulls You Under, we examine Jesus' temptation in the wilderness and discover how the enemy often disguises danger as something reasonable, desirable, and even necessary.

Temptation rarely begins by asking you to ruin your life. It usually begins by offering relief. In this message, you'll learn: • How to recognize "sharks" before they pull you under • Why identity is your first line of defense • How temptation targets legitimate needs through illegitimate means • Why knowing God's Word matters more than ever • What may be waiting on the other side of your testing

Don't live in fear. Live with wisdom. Be anchored in God's truth, aware of the dangers around you, and prepared to recognize what's dangerous before it pulls you under.

  • Missed Expectations | Scott Neal
    May 27 2026

What if God was never meant to be a genie in a bottle?

In this message, we explore the story of Jesus calming the storm and confront one of the hardest truths about faith: sometimes Jesus does not calm the storm as quickly as we want Him to. Sometimes He seems silent. Sometimes He seems asleep.

And in those moments, we ask the same question the disciples asked: “Don’t You care?”

But maybe maturity in faith is not learning how to avoid storms. Maybe it is learning how to trust that Jesus is still in the boat.

This message wrestles with fear, disappointment, expectations of God, unanswered prayers, and the difference between childish faith and mature trust. Because the greatest miracle may not be Jesus calming the storm around us. It may be Him calming the storm within us. Scripture: Mark 4:35–41

  • The Doorway to New Life | Scott Neal
    May 18 2026

You can grow up around sacred things and slowly stop seeing them as sacred. In this message, we explore the hidden danger of familiarity, the real meaning of baptism, and why so many people treat baptism like the finish line instead of the beginning of a new life with Jesus.

Baptism is not magic. It’s not spiritual insurance. It’s not graduation.

It’s surrender. It’s identity. It’s a public declaration that the old life does not get the final word.

This is Part 4 of “By the Waters” from Forest Park Church.

  • When the Water isn't Sweet | Scott Neal
    May 11 2026

What do you do when life doesn’t turn out the way you hoped?

In Part 3 of our series "By the Waters," we walk through the story of Mara in Exodus 15 and wrestle with a difficult reality: following Jesus does not exempt us from pain, disappointment, or bitter seasons. But Christianity doesn’t teach us to deny bitterness. It teaches us what to do with it.

If you’ve ever asked: “God, where are You?” “Why is this happening?” “How much longer?” …this message is for you.

The same God who brought Israel through the Red Sea met them at the bitter water too. And the same God who met them there still meets us in our wilderness seasons today.

Mara is real. But Mara is not final. Elim is coming.
