When you talk about your job, doesn’t it feel good to complain? Our guest Aruni called the poetry hotline to dig deep into the realities of food service. From looking at the tough stuff, she and her poet emerged with a bundle of appreciation.
Since 2019, Pride Poets has brought LGBTQ+ poets to write poems on typewriters for members of the public during Pride in West Hollywood and around the country, creating over 1,000 original poems based on living LGBTQ+ histories that participants shared with us.
