About this listen

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Southern California Weather Podcast for Wednesday, February 25th. Step outside right now and you'll feel a pleasant 52 degrees under clear skies. Enjoy that.. Because your thermometer is about to go on a joyride. Greater Los Angeles hits 77 today. Sunny, gorgeous, no complaints. Tonight eases down to 58 under mostly clear skies. Slide south to San Diego County and you're looking at 74 with mostly sunny skies. Patchy fog creeps in after 1 A.M. As temps dip to 56. Now push inland to the Empire. That's your hot spot today at 80 degrees. Tonight cools to 55. Thursday cranks the dial harder. LA jumps to 86. San Diego clears morning fog and reaches 78. The Inland Empire hits 85. But Friday is the real headliner. Los Angeles soars to 91 degrees. That's 50 degrees above normal for late February. San Diego peaks at 82. Inland Empire touches 90. We're talking potential record territory, folks. Looking ahead, high pressure keeps the heat rolling through Friday. Then an upper low slides in Saturday and pulls temps back to the 70s by Sunday and Monday. No rain anywhere on the horizon through mid March. Quick note on air quality today. It's sitting at unhealthy for sensitive groups. If you've got respiratory concerns, maybe keep that jog short. Sunrise hit at 6:28 this morning. Sunset arrives at 5:47. We're gaining two minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is just three weeks out. So today, LA 77, San Diego 74, Inland Empire 80. Tonight upper 50s across the board. Tomorrow? Mid 80s inland, upper 70s at the coast. February doing its best impression of May. If you're loving these daily updates, a quick review helps more people find us.
