Christmas joy is far more than hearing holiday songs, gift-giving, and decorations. Beyond those signs of the season is the joy of walking with Jesus each and every day. Jesus comes to us to live, die, and live again so we can receive forgiveness, healing, and His abiding presence each day.

Our addiction to happiness shapes who we are, what we do, and what we do in mysterious ways. What if happiness is not all it is promised to be? What if there is another way of living where we may not find happiness all the time but, instead, find an eternal mission and destiny? That is something worth living for!

Most churches and Christians love to do things, especially things for God. These "doings" sometimes take us away from the mission Jesus actually gave us. This week we explore how we must let Jesus be and do everything He must while finding our place in relationship to Him. Let Jesus be Jesus, and we, as a church, do our best work when we point to Him.

We often might think of Jesus as Lord and Savior. Rightly so! How much time do we spend wondering about Jesus as a friend, a brother, or a family member? Jesus comes to us in so many different ways. He does so to reach our heart, which is longing for belonging and grace.
