A fascinating, true story narrated perfectly by Rosamund Pike. I had watched and enjoyed The Americans and this podcast really went into some detail about the “Illegals” planted in the US during and after the Cold War. The subject matter - the story of Cindy aka Lidiya is fascinating but also the production, pace and delivery was of high quality. Rosamund’s narration really suited the “human” side of the story and the contributions from employers and friends of the “Murphys” made it absorbing to listen to. I’m going to read “Russians Among Us” now as referenced in the series as I’m now hooked on this subject Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the style and content of this series. Rosamund Pikes narration is engaging and measured. The story is quite incredible and it led me to ponder the wider implications of spy activities, I would thoroughly recommend audible customers to listen to it.

Insightful and entertaining in equal measure
