To err is human...but so is our need to deny we have erred. How 'cognitive dissonance' prevents us from admitting errors and learning from our mistakes - leading to medical disasters, miscarriages of justice, warping love and causing life-long feuds. But also how we can learn to deal with cognitive dissonance and redefine our attitude to failure.

So useful for my work providing psychoeducational therapy to women who have experienced trauma. Links to the research studies would be KaMaZiNg if at all possible and thanks for making this accessible to all by being free. I know my clients will find it incredibly helpful, and so do I.

Amazing

I really like Derren, I could not resist the opportunity to learn from this human behaviouer's expert. I was expecting something more in depth but as a 30-minute episode, this is really well done. Great introduction to topics worth paying attention to.

I'm generally a fan of Derren's work, but this is disappointing. If you have a modicum of knowledge about basic psychology, you're unlikely to learn anything from this series. Superficial and unenlightening.

Mildly entertaining.
