The murder and sexual assault of the young model Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common in 1992 was particularly horrific. Her two-year-old son sat next to her dead body, telling his mum to wake up. After a series of police errors, her real killer was finally brought to justice 16 years later, allowing him in the process to take away two more lives.

Real Crime retells the story, bringing to life the controversial police tactics to find Rachel's killer.

These true crimes are heartbreaking to hear, but interesting on how the police deal with crime

Sad to listen but interesting

If you’re looking for in depth ten part Netflix type series, this isn’t it. Instead it’s a great short and snappy tale of some truly shocking crimes.

Great for short 20 minute insights

Like extended ITN coverage, well told, without too much sensationalism. if you're a true crime fan you're likely to find this interesting.

interesting & well told

These are all stories I had heard before but some not for a few years. It was a competent production and being that each episode is only 30 mins or less, there is no great investment of time needed. On the downside this timeframe is a bit short to really delve into the stories too far. I have a love/hate relationship with true crime. It is interesting and also appalling . Each case is a personal tragedy for a family, spread out for the world to listen to for entertainment. It seems voyeuristic and makes me feel sad and kind of guilty, yet like to many others I do listen to true crime. There are so many podcasts and books devoted to it these days

The music is too loud and intrusive at points. I don’t know why producers feel that we have to have music when people are speaking. It is ok to just have the spoken word, honestly. We can go 30 mins without music

Pretty good
