Pastor Sergio continues his series telling us about the 10 things that disqualify us from being a disciple. We have to be obedient to Him & His Word. We cannot possess these things in our hearts and our spirits if we want to bear fruit and be a disciple of Jesus. In order to separate ourselves from just being an ordinary church goer and elevate ourselves and others in following Jesus and being disciples we have to be obedient. Salvation costs us nothing, but discipleship will cost us everything!

We have to surrender all our anxiety, anger and circumstances, no matter how traumatic. Change is fruitful from the Holy Spirit! Jesus knew His disciples didn't understand this. We have to give up self sufficiency and humble ourselves and rely on God. The opposite of surrendering is striving, God is asking us to give up this focus on ourselves. God wants us to have things and desires, but doesn't want them to have us. Your surrender is a posture towards God! God has planned our our life, why do we resist this? We cannot become detoured by our own desires.
