徒步旅行的熱潮，近年從西班牙朝聖之路，延燒到世界各地，時代雜誌推薦的2026必去景點裡，亦列入韓國和蘇格蘭新建的長程健行步道。
在地廣人稀的美國，也有風景絕美的步道。這條南北向跨越西岸的步道，長約為西班牙朝聖之路的5～6倍長，沿途經過沙漠，冰雪、森林、火山和草原等景色。而正因為一路的氣候和地形多元，加上路途從4個月到半年，要如何準備和補給裝備，成為上路時最大的考驗，這時出現的步道天使與步道魔法，就成為讓人津津樂道的祕密。
