北陸の冬の空には、稲妻が光り、雷鳴が轟く、、、この現象、「ブリ起こし」と呼ばれています。ちょうど、この頃、日本海側を回遊しているブリが獲れ始めるとか。ブリ（鰤）は、師走12月になって、脂が乗り始めて美味しくなることから、魚へんに「師」と書きます。では、なぜ「ブリ」と呼ぶのか？一説には、江戸時代の本草学者である貝原益軒が、脂が多い魚という意味で「アブラ」から「ア」が抜けて「ブラ」そして「ブリ」になったとも言われています。では、寒ブリで有名な富山県の「氷見」の語源はどこから来ているんでしょうか？
