She has also traveled to West Africa to empower underserved children.Sensei Beverly is the creator of KILINDA SuperShero, a comic inspired by the Swahili word for “protector,” designed to teach self-defense and healthy decision-making through powerful storytelling. Following the success of Volume 1—celebrated with a Billboard feature in Times Square—Volume 2 is set to release this summer. She also holds an MS in Health Communication for Social Change from CUNY.
