    Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.

    Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

    And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. On this 30th day of June, we dive into Amos chapters 7 through 9, Psalm 104, and Titus chapter 2, uncovering powerful visions and messages of warning, hope, and restoration. Today's reflection explores a different kind of hunger—a famine not of food, but for the Word of God—reminding us that only in Christ, the Bread of Life, can our souls truly be satisfied. Join us as we feast on God's goodness, receive His gracious word, and lift our hearts together in prayer and praise. TODAY'S DEVOTION: There's a famine in the land, but it's not for food. They have all the food they need. No, this famine is for something far more essential to life. There is a famine for the Word of God. People are filling themselves and their lives with every imaginable thing. They're feasting on things that in the end leave them empty and starving. If we make this life about satisfying our appetites, we end up famished and starving in the end. Jesus put it this way: People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Christ is that bread of life. Our souls will never truly be satisfied until they are satisfied in him who is the living Word. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. And in Isaiah we read this: Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does no good? Listen to me and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. God is urging us—listen to me and eat what is good. Enjoy the finest of food. Stop starving. He has graciously placed a feast before us that we have paid nothing for. He simply asks that we come and eat. Are you restless? Tired? Hungry? Famished? Today there's no need to go hungry. The Living Word is here for you. And His Word is gracious towards you. It's the Bread of life. It's free of charge. It's Him. Come daily to the table and feast on his goodness, his peace, grace, forgiveness, his mercy and his love. Draw the strength, the joy, all that you need from him today. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible for June 29th. Join Heather as we journey through day 180 in our reading of the Scriptures. Today, we'll explore Amos chapters 4 through 6, Psalms 86 and 87, and Titus chapter 1, asking God for guidance and wisdom as we seek to see Jesus more clearly. Together with listeners from around the world, we'll reflect on what God truly desires from His people—a life transformed from the inside out, full of justice, mercy, and love, made possible by Christ, the source of all living water. As we share in prayer and dive into the Word, be encouraged and strengthened in the unfailing love of God. TODAY'S DEVOTION: What does God want to see in our lives? Is it the grand gestures—the big religious festivals, the impressive gatherings, the big houses or accomplishments—that catch God's eye? According to the words of Amos, that's not what God is after. Heather reminds us that God desires something entirely different: a heart transformed from the inside out, a heart set free by his love, a heart that loves justice and mercy because it has experienced the forgiveness and freedom of God. Amos 5 tells us plainly: God hates all the show and pretense, the hypocrisy of religious festivals and solemn assemblies. He says, "Away with your noisy hymns of praise…I want to see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living." What God truly wants to see is a flood—a torrent—of justice and an endless river of true righteousness, not something we muster up in our own strength, but something that flows from a different source altogether. Where do these waters come from? They come from Christ Jesus, the source of all living water. In John 7:38, Jesus says, "Anyone who believes in me may come and drink. For the Scriptures declare, rivers of living water will flow from his heart." All the life God desires to see in us, all the justice and righteousness, flows from Jesus himself. The life that God longs for in his people will only come when we turn to him, when we let him fill us with his own living water, the power of his Spirit. Is anyone thirsty? The call goes out—come and drink, even if you have nothing to offer. His invitation is generous, his table wide open. When we come, we are transformed from the inside out. His Spirit lives and abides in us and, from there, living water pours out of our lives and into a dry and weary world. When God looks at us, this is what he truly wants to see: people set free by his love, who set others free; people living his justice and mercy, being instruments of his peace and pardon; people who bring his life and his joy to a world in need. So let us come to these waters—again and again. Let us drink deeply from Christ. Let us allow his justice, his mercy, his life to overflow from us into the world. Because the life he desires to see is his own life, flowing in and through us. That's a prayer I have for myself, for my loved ones, and for each of us together with Heather: may we come to the living water and let his love and justice be poured out through us. May it be so.
