Have you ever felt lost, exhausted, or unsure who you are after cancer treatment ends? You’re not alone — and that’s exactly why Confidence After Cancer exists. Do you want to know one of the biggest secrets that cancer survivors have? It’s that life after cancer treatment ends can sometimes be even more tough than the disease itself. No one understands that like another cancer survivor. Gabby has been there – when the Get Well cards come down and you are alone with your fears, it can be scary, overwhelming– and lonely. Gabby knew she had to change her life and develop healthy habits to go from cancer survivor to Thriver. But working out what to do was confusing and exhausting. Gabby says: I want to share everything that I have learned about survival, and how to rebuild your life once treatment ends. I expected to feel invincible once my cancer was gone, but it didn't. I felt depressed, anxious, and exhausted. 'Confidence After Cancer' is for anyone who has finished cancer treatment and maybe feels alone, confused, and not sure how to move forward when all the joy has gone from their life. Life after cancer treatment ends can be another stage to navigate when you are already exhausted. I'm here to help you make the rest of your life the best of your life. When the Get Well cards came down, chemotherapy, surgeries, mastectomy, radiotherapy were all finished. What next? How do you move forward when you are thrown off that roller coaster of treatment? Do you feel alone now that treatment has ended and that no one understands how you feel? Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired? Are you ready to move forward with your life, but it all feels too overwhelming? • You Don’t Need Fixing – Learning Self-Leadership After Cancer
    Jan 28 2026

After cancer or a major life event, many women are left feeling as though they should be “back to normal” by now. That if confidence hasn’t returned, if motivation feels flat, or if life feels different, then something must be wrong.

In this episode of Confidence After Cancer, Gabby gently challenges that idea.

    You don’t need fixing.

    You don’t need upgrading.

You don’t need to rush back to who you were before.

What you may need instead is self-leadership — learning to trust yourself again and lead your life from alignment rather than obligation.

Gabby explores why the “fixing” model can quietly create pressure, guilt, and self-doubt after treatment, and why recovery isn’t about becoming your old self again, but choosing how you live in a body and life that have changed.

This episode is an invitation to step into a quieter, steadier form of confidence — one rooted in self-respect, internal authority, and trust.

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

    1. Why the idea of “fixing yourself” can be harmful after cancer
    2. How identity and priorities naturally shift after treatment
    3. What self-leadership really means in life after cancer
    4. The subtle but powerful shift from asking “What should I be doing?” to “What supports me now?”
    5. How confidence can look quieter, calmer, and more grounded
    6. Why rest, boundaries, and pacing yourself are acts of confidence
    7. How to stop outsourcing your confidence to expectations and approval
    8. Why you are not broken, behind, or failing — you are evolving

  • A Gentle Start to the Year – Choosing Presence Over Pressure
    Jan 16 2026

This episode marks a quiet and meaningful return to the Confidence After Cancer podcast.

Rather than beginning the year with big declarations or rushing back into life, Gabby shares why 2026 started differently for her, shaped by family, reflection, grief, gratitude, and a conscious decision to slow down. Recorded after a deeply emotional New Year spent in St Ives with family, this episode honours love, loss, and the importance of being present before moving forward.

January can come with enormous pressure…new goals, new energy, a “new you.” But for many women, especially those who’ve experienced illness, bereavement, or long periods of holding everything together, this time of year can feel more like emotional jet lag than a fresh start. Forcing motivation on top of exhaustion doesn’t create growth… it creates burnout.

Gabby reflects on the significance of marking 18 years since her cancer diagnosis alongside a recent family loss, and how these moments have reshaped her perspective on time, gratitude, and choice. She explores why gentleness is not weakness, why space can be more powerful than push, and how reframing obligations into choices can quietly transform how we live.

This episode also introduces a subtle but important evolution in Gabby’s work…moving beyond rebuilding after cancer into supporting women who are standing at the edge of their next chapter. Not to be fixed or forced forward, but to lead themselves differently, with alignment, intention, and self-trust.

This is an invitation to begin the year deliberately, not urgently and to ask yourself one simple, powerful question:

What would it look like to support yourself this year instead of pushing or punishing yourself?

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

    1. Why a gentle start to the year can be more healing than a rushed one
    2. How grief, milestones, and reflection can reshape your priorities
    3. Why January pressure often leads to burnout rather than growth
    4. The difference between pushing forward and choosing presence
    5. How reframing “I have to” into “I get to” can change your relationship with life
    6. What it means to live deliberately instead of reactively
    7. Why confidence at this stage of life is about alignment, not effort
    8. How to begin 2026 with compassion, intention, and self-support
