In this episode, we follow the beginning of Lelouch, an exiled royal Brittanian, and his rise to leader of the Japanese rebellion. On a regular school day he skips and is caught between a terrorist attack and acquires the ability to compel anyone to do his orders. That ability (Geass) is used to carry out his rebellion against Brittania to uncover the secrets that has been held for so long. He undergoes many internal, political, and personal conflicts to shape the future as "Zero: Hero of Japan".
