Classic February morning. But here's the twist.. By this afternoon, you're ditching the jacket. Western Kansas? You're climbing to 67 degrees today. South Central hits 66. Northeast Kansas reaches 63. All under brilliant sunshine. The kind of day where your car feels like a sauna by lunchtime. Tonight stays quiet. Clear skies hold. Lows drop to 36 out west, 42 in the northeast. Still mild for late February. Friday cranks it up even more. We're talking low to mid 70s across most of the state. That's 15 degrees above normal. Light winds. Wall-to-wall sunshine. Perfect weather for a long lunch outside or an early evening walk. But here's where the plot thickens. Enjoy the warmth while you've got it. A strong cold front barrels in late Saturday. Sunday? Temperatures crash 30 to 40 degrees from Friday's highs. We're talking mid 30s to low 40s. Rain, sleet, maybe even some snow mixing in.
