After losing a terrifying battle, Shelbie wakes up in the lobby of a mostly deserted building in one of the flooded districts of Tokyo. Her head still feels cold, and her mind is reeling from the morphine Polio gave her on the street, but there's no time to rest. Digimon will keep attacking her, and next time she might actually die...

Sangomon finds herself locked in a fierce battle with Elecmon, the protector of digieggs and in-training digimon. No matter what she says, nothing will convince him that she didn't steal any digieggs, which means she only has two choices left: win this fight or have her data reset back to her egg form and live out her second life as Elecmon's youngest child...

Back in cyberpunk Japan, Shelbie and Wispy have a lot of tasks on their to-do list to get themselves set up as cleaners and transition to their new lives. Nothing exciting, but if paperwork wasn't important, no one would have to do it, right?

Shelbie and Wispy are on their way to the board meeting that will determine whether or not Shelbie gets fired today when an Ogremon leaps through her classroom's window and attacks them. Can Wispy defeat a champion-level monster without Polio's help, or will this be the end for both of them?

Meanwhile, in the digital world, Sangomon follows Polio back to Elecmon's house for a "talk," but it's probably an ambush or something. Everyone knows that Elecmon's a big meanie jerkface!!!

Shelbie and Wispy head to her parents' house, so she can tell them about her near death experience, and the theft of all her money, and the issues with party-planning, and the new threats in her daily life... but things don't go quite the way she hoped they would.

In the digital world, Sangomon follows her new friends Ludomon and Zubamon to meet their leader Spadamon in their super-secret, super-cool base.

Shelbie and Wispy are hanging out in a park with members of their new cleaner team when a disturbing message comes in from Isobei. Against Shelbie's better judgment, she heads into harm's way to rescue a blond idiot from himself...

Back in the digital world, Orcamon heads down Mount Miharashi, completely exhausted after fighting Spadamon, Zubamon, and Ludomon all by herself. Lost and alone, the poor little digimon must find the digi-destined on her own... even though she doesn't really know what they are.
