Originally from Nova Scotia and now living in Waterloo, Ontario, she has dedicated decades to the Catholic Women’s League, serving at every level from parish president to national president. A proud businesswoman, parish volunteer, and recipient of the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal, Shari brings wisdom, warmth, and a passion for connecting with people on faith, leadership, and service.

We were so delighted to sit down with Betty — or Liberina, as she’s officially known — on the podcast. Born in Dryden, Ontario, and raised in Niagara-on-the-Lake, she often says that joining the Catholic Women’s League in 1986 changed her life, setting her on a nearly 40-year journey of faith, service, and sisterhood. From serving as parish and diocesan chairperson to provincial president and now national president, Betty has inspired women across Canada, all while running her family vineyard and winery, sharing her creativity, and living a life rooted in community, leadership, and joy.

We had a chance to sit down with Dr. Josephine Lombardi. She’s an award-winning author and passionate faith leader who has done it all — from parish ministry and campus chaplaincy to teaching, retreat facilitation, and advising the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops on doctrine. Along the way, she’s written books like Experts in Humanity and On Earth as it is in Heaven, sharing her love for faith, family, and the human journey with audiences across Canada and beyond.

We were delighted to sit down with the new Spiritual Advisor for the Ontario Provincial CWL Council, Bishop Alan Campeau from the Diocese of Thunder Bay.

Born and raised in Belle River, Ontario, where his faith first took root at St. Simon and St. Jude Church. After his ordination in 1990, he went on to serve communities across Ontario, from Windsor and London to Thunder Bay and beyond, ministering with deep compassion and dedication.

With more than three decades of faithful service and a heart for people, Bishop Campeau brings a wealth of experience, humility, and joy to his new role.
