About this listen

But What Did GOD Say?™ is a Scripture-centered podcast devoted to discipleship, identity in Christ, and living according to God’s truth.

Rooted in John 8:31–32, each episode invites listeners to remember and return to GOD. Through thoughtful exploration of Scripture, we seek to understand what it means to abide in His Word, follow Jesus faithfully, and live out the truth that sets us free through Christ.

Whether you are new to the faith, desiring to grow in the ways of God, or simply seeking clarity, this podcast is a space to pause, listen, and realign with what God has already said.

Because in the end, it’s not what the world says, what we think, or what we feel—
it’s what GOD says that matters.

  • Hunger and Thirst After Righteousness
    Mar 4 2026

What did Jesus mean when He said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6)? In this episode, we explore how that hunger and thirst is ultimately for Jesus—the Bread of Life and the Living Water (John 6:35; John 4:14). We also clarify what “righteousness” is: not self-made goodness, but right standing with God that we receive in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Then we bring it into everyday life—what it looks like to seek God’s Word, choose integrity, forgive, and stop feeding on what leaves us spiritually dry.

  • Jesus, The Lord Who Builds The House
    Feb 27 2026

In a world that rewards hustle and speed, many of us are building nonstop—and still feel unsteady. So we start where Scripture starts: “Unless the LORD builds the house…” (Psalm 127:1). That verse doesn’t condemn work—it exposes the difference between labor that lasts and labor that becomes vain.

From there, we listen to Jesus as the Builder in Matthew 16, and we follow what the Word shows about what He builds, how it grows strong, and what our part looks like as we yield to His Word and His Spirit. If you’ve been striving to hold everything together, come sit with the Scriptures and let the Lord reset the foundation.

  • Who Do You Say That I Am?
    Feb 25 2026

There are many conversations about Jesus — opinions, assumptions, and competing claims. But in Matthew 16:13–17, Jesus did not ask His disciples what others were saying. He asked them directly: “But who do you say that I am?”

In this episode, we walk through that passage carefully and let Scripture interpret Scripture. We examine Peter’s confession that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God,” and we follow how the Bible defines those truths — from the Spirit’s role in revealing Christ (John 16:13–14; John 15:26), to the testimony of Scripture that Jesus is Creator and Sustainer (Colossians 1:15–17).

We also consider why this question is not secondary. Jesus warned that unbelief leaves a person in sin (John 8:24), and Paul taught that salvation involves believing and confessing Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9–10).

Throughout the episode, we are invited to examine where our understanding of Jesus comes from and whether our response aligns with what God has said.

The question remains personal — and it still stands today:
