Hello, and welcome to "Beauty and the Biz," where we'll discuss the business and marketing side of plastic surgery. As always, I'm your host, Catherine Maley, author of "Your Aesthetic Practice – What Your Patients Are Saying." and consultant to plastic surgeons, helping them get more patients and more profits. Building, then rebuilding a practice — What it really takes to uproot a successful practice and start again. Specifically, on this week's "Beauty and the Biz," I interviewed Dr. Ruslan Zhuravsky. Previously, this facial plastic surgeon in Miami immigrated from Ukraine at age 6. Subsequently, he grew up in Brooklyn and trained in facial plastics. Furthermore, he built his reputation in New Jersey. Ultimately, he made the bold decision to relocate his practice to Miami. Undeniably, that move was not easy. Admittedly, he had roots, patients and momentum in New Jersey. However, he also knew he ultimately wanted to build his life and his practice in Miami. Consequently, he went for it.
