  • From “Back Home” to Bold Voice: Unlearning the Silence on Palestine
    Oct 28 2025

What happens when a Palestinian-American discovers her homeland doesn't exist in her teacher's flag book? This raw, unfiltered conversation exposes the hidden history they don't teach in schools.Join Anthony as he sits down with Samantha, a Palestinian-American scholar with over two decades of expertise in Middle Eastern politics and firsthand experience living in Palestine. From discovering her erased identity in Catholic school to navigating armed checkpoints where families sleep in cars for hours, Samantha reveals the shocking reality of daily life under occupation.Uncover the untold story of the 1948 ethnic cleansing, the British betrayal that promised the same land to two peoples, and how 8,000 Israeli settlers relocated from Gaza to the West Bank created the fragmented map we see today. Learn why a 20-minute drive takes 90 minutes through dangerous mountain passes, and how supremacy—not religion—lies at the heart of this conflict. This isn't propaganda. It's history, DNA evidence, personal experience, and a call for equality. Discover why speaking about Palestine risks censorship, how Canaanite ancestry connects Palestinians to ancient biblical peoples, and why coexistence—not separation—offers the only path to peace.WARNING: This conversation challenges mainstream narratives. This is aiming to give perspective from the source.Note from Anthony: As difficult as it is to speak about something like this,I wanted to make sure that the message, even how dim it currently is, is as positive as it can aiming towards REAL peace and we do that through conversation and learning about both sides of the coin. The aim is to share a perspective that isn't mainstream, and to understand that there's always two sides to a story.CHAPTER MARKERS:0:00 - Introduction: Meeting a Palestinian Scholar0:37 - Discovering Palestinian Identity in School4:49 - Early Interest in Palestine and Personal Identity11:15 - British Mandate and Zionist Movement History17:53 - Israeli Military Checkpoints and Movement Restrictions24:06 - Daily Life Under Occupation31:17 - Ottoman Empire Collapse and British Promises37:52 - Zionist Immigration and Settlement Strategy43:57 - 1948 Ethnic Cleansing and State Formation50:11 - British Mandate Period and Palestinian Statehood55:42 - Settler Ideology and Religious Justification61:22 - Supremacy as Root Cause of Conflict64:22 - Censorship and Speaking About Palestine70:38 - Media Narratives and Palestinian Erasure75:36 - Shared Heritage and Final ThoughtsLots of source material mentioned in the podcast for further research:What is Area A, B & C: https://www.anera.org/what-are-area-a-area-b-and-area-c-in-the-west-bank/10 Maps to understand Occupied west bank: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/9/16/ten-maps-to-understand-the-occupied-west-bank List of Military Checkpoints (Israeli information center for human rights): https://www.btselem.org/freedom_of_movement/checkpoints_and_forbidden_roads

  • A Very Special Guest: Jaxson (Age 3!)
    Jun 13 2025

🎙️ A Very Special Guest: Jaxson (Age 3!)

Today’s episode is unlike anything I’ve ever done — and probably unlike anything you’ve heard. I’m joined by a truly rare guest: the one and only Jaxson, who was just 3 years old when we recorded this. Yes, you read that right — a toddler on a podcast. And it’s just as delightful, unpredictable, and heartwarming as you’d imagine.

This whole thing came together thanks to Jaxson’s amazing parents (huge shoutout to them!). Jaxson actually showed interest in being on the podcast, so we figured — why not? Let’s give it a shot. What came out of it is a burst of pure, unfiltered curiosity and joy.

We recorded this a few months ago with a small live audience of his family, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it. There’s something so magical about hearing a child’s perspective — their honesty, their imagination, their laughter. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and I think it’ll bring a smile to your face too.

Disclaimer: This episode was recorded with full consent and approval from Jaxson’s parents.
