  • 9/11 Another View of the News: The Gatekeeper and the Grieving Family

The family of British citizen Geoff Campbell, who tragically lost his life in the North Tower of the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks, is taking a historic legal battle to the UK Supreme Court. For over twenty years, his brother Matt Campbell has campaigned to reopen the official 9/11 inquest into Geoff's death. The family submitted extensive evidence challenging the findings of the original 2013 investigation, which concluded that the building collapsed due to the impact of hijacked airplanes. They argue instead that secretly planted explosives caused the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Under the Coroners Act 1988, families seeking a fresh inquest must first obtain permission from the UK Attorney General. However, the Attorney General denied the Campbell family application, acting as a statutory gatekeeper and claiming the terrorist attacks had already been thoroughly investigated. When Matt Campbell challenged this refusal, the High Court ruled that the Attorney General holds an absolute power that is immune from judicial review. This shocking decision meant no judge could scrutinize the refusal, effectively blocking the family from presenting their scientific evidence in a court of law.

Now, the UK Supreme Court has granted a rare appeal to determine the limits of this executive power. Scheduled for October 2026, the hearing will not focus on the physics of the World Trade Center collapse but will strictly examine whether the decisions made by the Attorney General are subject to judicial oversight. This landmark Supreme Court case carries massive implications for government accountability and access to justice. It will ultimately decide if a single politician can permanently close the book on a historical tragedy without independent legal scrutiny.

  • Beyond the Media Market: Finding Independent News After the Collapse of USA Public Radio

The January 2026 dissolution of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting marks a seismic shift for independent media in the USA following the Rescissions Act of 2025 which clawed back 1.1 billion dollars in funding. This move, reinforced by Executive Order 14290 and the Project 2025 blueprint, effectively dismantled the 58-year-old firewall intended to protect freedom of information from government control and political capture. As the loss of federal support creates vast news deserts and threatens the national Emergency Alert System infrastructure, the board chose to dissolve the entity to prevent it from being used for state-directed messaging. Consequently, many citizens are seeking unbiased perspectives through international public-interest media and resilient technologies like shortwave radio. Independent broadcasters such as NEXUS-IBA and the BBC now serve as critical alternatives for those navigating a media market increasingly dominated by commercial and partisan interests.

  • The Restoration of Sovereignty: USA Exiting International Organizations
    Jan 10 2026

On January 7, 2026, the White House announced an America First foreign policy shift by initiating a withdrawal from 66 international organizations. This directive targets 31 UN entities and 35 non-UN bodies deemed contrary to U.S. national interests and sovereignty. By ending participation in these organizations, the administration intends to stop taxpayer funding for UN entities that promote globalist agendas or DEI mandates. This move aims to redirect billions of dollars toward domestic priorities like infrastructure, border security, and military readiness.

This global governance retreat includes a specific UNFCCC withdrawal and an exit from the IPCC climate risk assessment process. Critics from the Union of Concerned Scientists labeled the move anti-science, while international partners in Europe and India expressed concern over the America-sized hole left in global health and energy initiatives like the International Solar Alliance. Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the decision as a necessary step to dismantle the multilateral NGO-plex and reject the fantasy of global governance. Ultimately, this shift toward strict unilateralism marks the end of U.S. climate leadership and a transition toward hard power and bilateral leverage.
