Somehow my podcast topics are always thrust in my face. My life is inundated with a certain topic that seems to pop up daily. Maybe it’s a subconscious thought trying to surface or the “force” is speaking to me. 

You are the average of the 5 closet people around you. If you average it out, do they elevate you, or do they lower your score? Maybe it's time to change your close circle so that you have to strive to be better.

1. Who are you surrounding yourself with?

a. Is it people “less” than you because you are trying to look better than you believe you are?
b. Is it because your afraid to get out of your comfort zone?
c. Is there someone at work you hate because you know they are better than you? “Fred”
- Fred is a suck up. Is he, or are you jealous of Fred?

2. “I need your help. I can't tell you what it is, you can never ask me about it later, and we're gonna hurt some people.”
a. What is your close circles answer?
b. If it’s not...Whose car are we gonna' take? Then they shouldn’t be in your circle.

Is it okay to take a break after a big event? For ordinary people who live life daily, when is our off-season? 

When you have put enormous effort into something, a race, a wedding, planning a vacation, or a work project, do you find yourself in a post-event slump?

Well, this guy says, it's okay to take a seat and bask in your glory, or to appreciate the things you sacrificed while you were so focused.  

Your purpose and drive had you laser focused. You put some things aside and got the job done. Take a few breaths and appreciate what you did, appreciate the sacrifices you made, and let your mind refocus before you start the next journey. 

I wanted to ride the momentum that I had from the competition. This episode is to highlight what the competition is and drop a few easter eggs of what some of the new episodes might hold. The 3 Dudes Figuring It Out as We Go, Brian Webber, Matt Thomas, and myself all sat down and discussed our tangled webs of 2023 goals and aspirations. All 3 of us are in very similar situations in life but are all on a different trajectory.

We discussed how to set goals and how to remain true to them as well as remaining true to our virtues and our beliefs. The discussion of balance or lack thereof is enlightening to anyone who is struggling to understand how to prioritize life, work, and fitness all at once. Brian shamelessly plugs his podcast, Instinctive Influencers, (See link Below) as he discusses many of the same topics more in-depth.

As always, we are trying to relate usable tips to every survivor out there trying to make the best of life. We hope our experiences and failures can help anyone listening to crush life without our mistakes. Stay Relentless

We all have a gift that we are given to benefit the world. Have you figured out what that gift is? Are you using that gift to help others be better?

Do we recognize the gifts of others? So often we think people are annoying and disregard them. But, maybe, they are sharing their talent with you. Maybe what they are doing isn't that great. What if that is their 100%? They are doing their best just like the little drummer boy played his best for Baby Jesus. Don't knock them for their efforts, they are brave enough to suck at something new. Encourage them and help them be better. We all need to find our why. It often takes a deep dive and we must set our Ego aside, but the ultimate reason we do anything is down there. It is the Why that helps us make it through the darkest of times. It is the why that gets us through that workout that just sucks.
