About this listen

All About Agatha is a podcast all about, well, Agatha. Agatha Christie, of course: the Queen of Crime, a real-life Dame of the British Empire, and author of sixty-six mystery novels that spanned the Twentieth Century, defining a genre. For five years, Catherine Brobeck and Kemper Donovan revisited these novels in publication order, ranking them according to pre-set criteria (plot, character, etc.). Tragically, Catherine Brobeck passed away at the end of 2021. She will be forever missed. Since then, Kemper has completed the podcast's ranking project, and continues to celebrate the greatness of Christie by attempting to solve the ultimate mystery where she is concerned. Why Christie--and Christie alone--endures as powerfully as she does. All rights reserved Art Literary History & Criticism

I’m slowly working my way through these podcasts & laughing at how familiar the books all sound. I’ve read all her books except Passenger to Frankfurt & she is probably my favourite writer.

Enjoyable for fans of Christie

A real delight for anyone who has ever read or watched an Agatha Christie. Pace is lovely... enough information that you don't need to be a Christie expert but also discussion and new ways of looking at things to make more familiar texts seem fresh. The presentation is warm and engaging. Recommend.

Definitely worth a listen

I started listening to Agatha Christie audiobooks during the pandemic so I was pleased to find this podcast. The two lovely hosts review and rank all of Agatha Christie's novels and short stories in chronological order of when they were written, one per podcast episode.

They provide interesting facts and anecdotes along the way about how the stories came to be written, how good or bad the TV and film adaptations were, and what the clues can help you to solve the mysteries.

I have listened to about 30 of these episodes so far and they have been delightful.

Papa Poirot would approve!

It's very entertaining to listen to two knowledgeable people talking about how they feel about Agatha Christies Oeuvre. Especially with John Curran's particular opinions. Is this truly the last State of the Ranking? Who knows! Enjoyable listening anyway!

Worthwhile State of the Ranking

A great listen for fans of Agatha Christie and as always learnt something new. Good to see coverage of the lesser known short stories with opinion delivered by some of the most knowledgeable experts in the field. Ably led by the ever entertaining Kemper Donovan.
