He said never thought he would ever run for political office, because he didn’t feel like he fell into any of the traditional political party categories. But that changed when he felt an allegiance to the principles of the upstart United Utah Party's message of ending extreme partisanship and focusing on practical solutions based on common sense and common ground. Eliason said his number one policy priority is government reform.
