On January 29th, 1979, Brenda told her dad that she was having menstrual cramps and couldn't make it to school that day. But instead her plans were to use her new .22 caliber rifle that she had just received for Christmas from her father and shoot 36 rounds into Cleveland Elementary School in San Carlos, California. After her shooting spree was over, two people were left dead, 8 children were injured, and a police officer was hit.
