More like The Theory of Worldbuilding

So first up, the reader is fantastic. Easy to understand pronunciation and clear intonation, good punctuation and overall pleasant to listen to.

Secondly, however, this book isn't perhaps exactly what I was looking for or that I expected it to be. Delving deep into the various theories and models of worldbuilding, the book feels like a comprehensive and well thought-out paper on the findings of a research into how, primarily, fantasy authors build their worlds. Which, looking back at the title of the book, feels very on point. However, if you're looking to use it to help you build a fantasy world yourself, I can't say the book will offer much for you on a practical level. It's kind of like buying a Lego-set and only receiving a pamphlet of the different possible Lego bricks available, with some pictures of finished pieces.

Then again, that's on me I believe. I should've done more research into the sort of a book it is, first. What it is and what it does, it does well and clearly. Good luck hunting down your bricks elsewhere, though.
