Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Anyone leading any organisation from an autocratic stance would benefit from reading this book. There are great examples of how treating employees and colleagues with respect really does pay off. That by running staff in the ground and treating them as commodities only costs more in the end. What did you like best about this story?
It shows how human and frail people can be but there are techniques that draw the best out of them rather than beating people emotionally when in a position of higher management. The reader and words have a non condescending tone and the author clearly write from the voice of experience with well researched examples, though I did wonder if American Express paid a contribution! What about Aaron Meza’s performance did you like?
Easy listening.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me feel frustrated and even angry, puzzled as well, at how information in this book and others can go so unheard in some areas. Especially NHS which presently feels to be tipping the wrong way and little emotional intelligence toward its staff.I wish the leaders in the NHS would read this.
