About this listen

Jeremy has always wanted to befriend mythical creatures, play with forbidden magic, and meet his fated mate. Okay, okay. He knows the difference between fiction and real life; he is an author after all . . . Or he would be if he ever got to "The End" on one of his stories. So he realizes his desire to live inside a fantasy romance novel is a touch unrealistic, but where is the joy in living a life that is boring and predictable and overwhelmingly blah?

At least that's what he thinks until a hot AF werewolf saves him from his freaky boss and turns his whole life upside down. Now Jeremy is determined to know everything about the supernatural world, and Adrian, his swoon-worthy werewolf hero, is willing to answer all his questions, even when they make the big guy blush.

But when his former goblin boss kidnaps his cat to convince Jeremy to return the items she thinks he stole, things get serious fast. Now in between plotting his next MM romance and seducing the beautiful werewolf (and not just for research purposes), he needs to stage a cat rescue. Life is definitely not boring now.

Contains mature themes.

I just finished Wolves Always Bite, and it really surprised me—in the best way. The story had me hooked from the beginning with its intriguing supernatural mystery. We still didn’t get all the answers about why the goblin stole the artificials or how exactly the wolves fit into it all, but that lingering tension actually worked in the book’s favor. It kept the pace moving and held my interest the whole way through.

What really stood out, though, was the romance. The bonding and mating scenes were intimate and romantic without ever feeling forced. Jeremy and Adrian had that kind of chemistry that felt both believable and fun—sweet moments, a little spice, and a dynamic that just made sense. Adrian, in particular, was a standout: the perfect blend of grumpy, blushing, and fiercely protective. I completely understood why Jeremy fell for him.

Jeremy himself was a lovable mess—charming but impulsive. There were definitely moments where he didn’t think things through, but that added to his authenticity. I also really enjoyed getting to know Adrian’s crew, especially his boss, who had a ton of personality. Gage’s group of supernaturals was another great touch—adding depth to the world and teasing what’s coming next in the series.

And of course, Kirt Graves absolutely nailed the narration. His performance was pitch-perfect—witty, warm, and expressive. He gave Jeremy and Adrian so much life, and really elevated the entire story. His voice was made for this fast-paced, quirky, emotional kind of romance.

Overall, Wolves Always Bite was a strong installment—equal parts heartfelt, spicy, and intriguing. I loved the characters, I’m invested in the mystery, and I’m definitely on board for whatever comes next.

***MILD SPOILER***
If I had to nitpick one thing, it’d be the whole “7th son” bit. It felt a little random—like it was thrown in without enough setup. Maybe it’ll play a bigger role in later books, but here, it stuck out just a bit.

Intriguing Plot and Great Chemistry
