Story
It’s 1944 and Germany is facing its final defeat. 5,000 miles across the Allied dominated Atlantic, 22 men and five nuns aboard the Barquentine Deutschland are battling home to Kiel. Among them are a U-boat ace captured in a raid on Falmouth. A female American doctor caught in the nightmare of flying bombs. A gunboat commander who’s fought from the Solomons to the Channel and a rear admiral desperate to get some of the action. Allies and enemies, men and women, the hunters and the haunted all drawn into the eye of the storm.
Summary
Not wanting any overt connections with their country, the Russians need the right kind of assassin, better than Carlos the Jackal. When such a man is discovered in a Lubiana prison, he is willing to take on the job as a price for his freedom...
An unlikely man, brilliant and terrifying, ingenious and deadly, he is the wolf at the door.

Accents on narration aren't good and that's being kind. Apart from that the story is OK and an easy flow like most Dillon books.

The accents ruin this book
It may be a good story but the "Northern Ireland " accents are shockingly bad and ruin it. Sounds more Scottish than Irish at times and the stage Irish dialogue is terrible. Better off not trying or hiring someone who can pull off the accent to voice over Dillon et al .

Just okay
Sean Dillon books are all becoming too much alike. The stories aren't going anywhere. This book started out with a bang and went out with barely a whimper.
