Witchcraft: A Beginner's Guide to Wiccan Ways
Summary
This book contains information to help you begin a Wiccan life. It contains pertinent information on the basic concepts, principles, and practices of Wicca as well as information about witches.
Wicca is a term used to represent witchcraft. It is derived from the word wicce, an Anglo-Saxon term that means "to have wisdom to bend or manipulate". Originally Wicca implied a male witch while wicce implied a female witch. However, as the years have passed, Wicca has become accepted as a term representing both males and females who can bend or manipulate.
Wicca is commonly used to replace the term witchcraft, which is defined in various ways. For instance, many people in the past referred to witchcraft as an individual's ability to harness supernatural powers specifically for the practice of black magic. As such, witchcraft was viewed in the same manner as magic and sorcery.
