Sadie Powell is going on an adventure. After her beloved mother has a health scare, Sadie decides it's finally time to see the world. So, Sadie crosses the Atlantic to work as an au pair for a year. Austria's supposed to be nice: chocolate, beer, and scenic mountain ranges beckon. She'll figure out teaching and living with an Austrian family along the way.

One of my all time favourite audiobooks. Beautifully written, tender and sexy as hell. Gabra Zackman, my goodness you have a gorgeous voice. This book does nothing to help my Sound of Music fantasies... 😃 ...and damn, who is that lady on the cover!?! ...Mutter 😍

I loved this book, the storyline, the characters, the narration it was great.. It was a really easy listen that I was looking foward to continue each time

we all love a happy ending and with this in mind this audio is predictable in a good way. The narrator is super good, sultry and endearing. The only down side was the story seemed rushed at the end , winding up in the last 30 minutes. The book needed to be another hour longer because the listener was a bit short changed re the conclusion.

Similar to other reviewers, I too was reminded of Sound of Music in the first half of the book; the setting, the closed off single parent and militant routine for the children. However, it’s a relatively short book which meant that the story went at a good pace and the story improved. It could have done with another paragraph or two to really give the reader an understanding of how these two make it in the future.
Narrator was great, very sultry!
