About this listen

Ray Carpenter is a glass-half-full control freak who just wants the world to make sense. When the Warp suddenly descends on humanity, though, bizarre mental illnesses strike adults all over the globe and throw his life into chaos. Ray's mother becomes convinced that her right hand is a parasite, his wife is gripped by the notion that she's a corpse, and Ray himself is haunted by delusions that his loved ones are imposters.

As the adults grapple with madness, grotesque transformations alter the children. Ray's son develops strange bumps on his skin and an unsettling sixth sense, while his behavior grows increasingly incomprehensible and ever-more disturbing.

Ray struggles to hold onto his sanity and his family, but as the Warp twists reality, it may change them all into monsters.

it was a interesting take on apocalyptic Sci-Fi. It was written well. I must admit it I did stop listening to it as it was a little slow in the middle. I'm glad i came back to it as i enjoyed where the writer was going at the end. But you can't leave it there. I have so many questions.

If you enjoy wierd,apocolyptic, pure horror then this is a cracking listen. Very well written it had me addicted, it wasn't nice but... you just have to keep on listening. Entertainment from start to finish. Steven McDonald's narration was excellent, he brought all the characters to life... or something like that! Highly recommended as long as you don't have a faint heart.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review.
