Summary

In a month, I've gone from magicless to one of the most powerful dark mages in the world. You'd think that would make my life easier.

But all that power is only potential until I learn how to wield it, and my enemies have a huge head start. While I'm picking up every skill I can, adversaries both within Villain Academy and beyond it are working to knock me down.

My fellow scions? I can count at least a couple of them among those enemies. The others...let's just say the lines between light and dark have gotten a lot more blurred.

Nothing's safe here - not my mind, my heart, my magic, or the few people who're proving themselves my allies. When the danger turns deadly, will I be able to save all of them and myself?

Rory’s battle to survive Villain Academy has only just begun. Vicious treachery, unexpected allies, thrilling passion, and wrenching heartbreak await in Vile Sorcery....

*Vile Sorcery is the second book in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers reverse harem romance where there'll be no choosing required.*

A magic audio story

Wow Wow book 2 is just as hear wrapping as book 1. What can I say. The words are not enough to do it justice. Eva Chase wrote a story that will wrap you into the story . Eva characters are strong. The heroine, Rory , is strong , her resolve is unshakable, no matter what Malcom and his other Scions ( who Rory ) is suppose to be part off throws at her , Rory rises above the attacks , stands her ground, she does fight back but very mild . The four scions but mostly Malcom wants to Rory to bow down to them . Rory does have a mild connection to 2 of them . Rory professor gets sick once he wants to tell her something who wants to do her harm Grab it and find out who . Stephen Dexter and Meg Sylvan are a great team . Stephen doing different tones for all the male characters were great . Even 2 or 3 voices in the same scene were great . Meg doing Rory , Debrah and all the females were spot on

Great sequel! 4.5 stars!

Definitely a great sequel. If the first book was on the slower side, in this one a lot happens. I loved to see the developments with Jude and Declan, and Rory grows a lot as a character. Overall I loved the book! The narrators were awesome, just like in the first book. Can't wait to start the next one :D I received a free audio copy from the author for an honest review :)

Can’t wait for more

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review. Omg I am so enjoying this series, it’s a slow burn so it makes it much better to watch the characters growing especially when you get little snippets of the guys POV’s. Rory is such a strong fiery character yet relatable. The world building just keeps getting better and better and the plot is very twisted and intriguing. I can’t wait for more!

Captivating

Just as captivating as book 1. Eva Chase has a wonderful way of describing the world of Rory's unravelling life. Sometimes pain needs felt to open your eyes; Jude and Connor have seen it, will Malcom come around?

Compulsive

Eva Chase hooked me in again! I love that it's slow burn and that Rory doesn't just take the easy path because it's easy, and that when POV is switched I NEVER guess who it's going to switch to right. I love that all of the guys are warming up to her independently of one another and that it isn't mentioned between any of them until right at the very end. She is stepping into her power literally and figuratively and it is an absolute joy. I still thouroughly love both of the narrators, and I have this book in e as well as audio

Captivating

I am loving this series so far it is captivating. This story is full of twists as Rory finds out more about her blood parents and her place in the Fearmancers world. The slowly developing relationships between Rory and the boys is so brilliantly written it is spellbinding. The narration is great I like that there is a male and female narrator for that extra dimension.

Keeps getting better

This story continues on where the last one left off and the story just keeps getting better. Rory is getting stronger. She is slowly figuring out who she can trust . The guys still suck. Just when you think one of them may have turned the corner. BAM! Their jerkiness shows itself again. Chase is such a good writer. You feel for Rory and you want her to put these guys in their place and just unleash all her powerful magic on them. I wonder just how any of them can redeem themselves. I guess I will just have to read on to see how perfectly Eva pulls this off.

Royals of Villain Academy Book 2

I enjoyed the first book, Cruel Magic, but this book is even better. Rory’s fellow scions continue to be a problem, although the line between hate and love seem to be blurring for a few of them. Rory continues to uphold her values and principles and it is not popular with the Fearmancers. Narration is excellent and brings the story to life. This is an adult series and there are some steamy scenes. The author did a great job creating an interesting world with well developed characters. I’m still not too fond of any of the Scions but hopefully they will develop some redeeming qualities. The story sucked me in and it was impossible to put it down! I finished the book in record time and can’t hardly wait for book 3! This series is very entertaining and I’m looking forward to finding out what will happen next. I love this series !!!!!!!!!!

In book 2 Rory has just learned that she is one of the most powerful mages in the world. Now she has to learn how to use those powers. The Scions still give her trouble along with the "mean girls" but my girl Rory is keeping up. Her relationships with Jude and Declan start to heat up in the book. Connor has a lot to make up for and Malcom is still a jerk to her. I love her relationship with Shelby and I can't wait to see what will happen next. There are several plots in this book. The overall plot is Rory trying to reconcile her Fearmancer abilities with her Joymancer nature. They we have the mystery of what is happening with her mentor. Also the constant conflict with the Barrons and now her grandparents. Rory has a very busy and complicated life. Stephen and Meg do an amazing job of narrating and bringing the characters to life. I can't wait for more!!! #AudioBx review

Awesome Job!!!

Vile Sorcery by Eva Chase and narrated by Meg Sylvan and Stephan Dexter, the second book in a multiple book series. Return Rory Bloodstone, She made it through the trial to prove her magic, now she just needs to survive her classmates. I love how she tries so hard to maintain her morals while she is being told that everything she grew up learning is wrong, but she is surviving with help from her mentor, her mouse, and her access to the library. I highly recommend this book but you really need to listen to them in the order that the author intended, or you will be completely lost. Follow Rory and her adventures, and the other scions to see what happens next.

Loved This!

That ending has left me absolutely numb!! My heart is broken for Rory and I'm not sure what else to feel about those last unfolding events!! I cannot praise this newest work of Eva Chase enough! I'm just blown away!! I think this book is mesmerizing and intriguing and most definitely rises above many of the other RH academy series out there!! From start to finish it was one captivating jewel. My heart aches so deeply for Rory!! I just want Malcolm to bow down to her! I want the other guys to choose her and I want the drive behind all of the scheming to be brought to light. I know that with all of those brilliantly different POVs, we've gotten insight into each guy, but I just feel like what we've read is just the tip of the iceberg meant to sink Rory. Everyone is plotting against her and I want to see champions rise to stand besides her. She doesn't need a savior, but people in her corner would be a beautful sight! This is the best series that Ms. Chase has ever written 💝💝💝 I feel like I won't be breathing easily until I get book 3.
