About this listen

Vampires and angels are locked in a deadly war. But first, they want their daughter back.

Half-vampire/half-angel, Violet was abandoned among the humans in London as a baby. Suddenly discovering monstrous powers on her 21st birthday, she thinks she's the most dangerous creature to prowl the streets.

She's wrong.

When a snarky angel falls into her lap and her adopted sister disappears, Violet is forced into a new role: huntress. But the deeper she's dragged into this supernatural world, the more she struggles to survive.

On the run, Violet will have to rely on a sexy vampire geek while facing off against the harem boy angel threatening her sister. There's only one way she'll win: by letting out the monster....

This story is a fast paces roller coaster rider of vampires and angels. Violet turn 21 and everything changes. She is in a fight she doesn't understand the rules of. There are no rules.
I love this story, the narrator is a great choice.

A roller coaster ride

I had to give up after 5 chapters.
1) the music in between chapters is really annoying!
2) narration is quite fast, which is normally not a problem, but in this book every second word is slang and strong accent, so you don't have a chance to catch what is going on (I live in London, no we do not talk like this :))
3) fast pace of the story does not let you establish relationship with main characters, it is just too fast!

not for me
