Path to Peace

Clearly the author has experience in this field, this book is very well researched and laid out. I feel Vagus Nerve Exercises to Rewire Your Brain is a transformative journey towards inner peace and self-healing. This was my introductory piece to this topic, I’m very much intrigued for sure! Through natural, daily exercises, Williams guides readers to stimulate their vagus nerve, offering relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, and overthinking. I’m now squeezing a few into my morning workout when I make it downstairs to the “pain cave” (basement gym) I enjoyed The book's approachable exercises. I wish there was an accompany PDF with it to follow along.

If you want to know how the body works this is it!

Who would have thought so many nerves contribute to everything we do? From how we think or attach smell to anything, it's truly remarkable. Whether senses were caused by a normal situation or a stressful moment, the breakdown of this information will really teach many people how to change the thought process of balancing our behaviors. I've never heard such information even during all my years of college. This covers information about being interrupted to balancing out the forces of life's inconveniences and how we react to daily life. I liked the narrator, who had a nice, wonderful voice.

Eye Opening!

This was my first time learning of the Vagus Nerve. This book does a very thorough job of explaining what it is , how it affects our overall health, and how we can improve our current situation and prevent disease and illness in the future. Informative and Helpful

I have previously heard the term but didn't actually know anything about the Vagus Nerve. This audiobook was surprisingly easy to follow. It shared straightforward tips on how to "wake up" this nerve that runs through your entire body, which could help with everything from my mood swings to my sore back. There were even some guided meditations that didn't feel like a chore. It's been a comforting find, making me feel like I've got some control back over my wellbeing.

Great tool for those with Overthinking tendencies!

Good description of vagus nerve for a launch into the book. The autonomic and sympathetic nervous systems are both described in great detail for a foundation to build understanding. Overwhelmed by feelings, treatment is included. I came away with a new understanding of stress being dorsal vagal activity. Self-regulation of vagal activity options is plentiful. The mental traps list brings new awareness to watch for. Not what we think, but how we think was intriguing and followed up with a good explanation for self-help. Overthinking exercises will be put to use daily! Multiple meditations are very helpful. Great information that I have never seen or heard before.

Overcome Overthinking!

This audiobook was very interesting to me, as it was a brand new topic to consider. I have experienced anxiety at times in my life, and I found this to be very intriguing. I was most interested in the section about rewiring your brain and overcoming overthinking, as that is something that I often do. The idea of mental traps and considering value and how we approach different situations was enlightening information for me! If you struggle with overthinking, anxiety, or depression, I highly recommend this book!
