Summary

Francese con un lavoro a Parigi e un appartamentino a Montmartre, Vivienne Vuloir è una ragazza buffa e imbranata che colleziona una figuraccia dopo l'altra, fa i conti con una fallimentare carriera di scrittrice e soffre di un numero indefinito di fobie. Quando un giorno riceve un'inattesa telefonata da un certo Mr Lennyster, figlio di un'importante attrice italiana su cui ha da poco redatto un dossier, è certa di stare per subire una grossa lavata di capo. Invece, l'uomo vuole commissionarle la biografia della madre.

Così, ben presto Vivienne si troverà a dover affrontare un'avventura a cui non è affatto preparata: un viaggio in Italia, un libro da scrivere, un uomo affascinante, dolce ma oscuro, e una villa piena di misteri da risolvere. Tra gaffe, tentativi maldestri di carpire i segreti della famiglia Lennyster, amori e altre catastrofi, Vivienne, inguaribile pessimista, capirà che la vita le sta per riservare una sorpresa inaspettata.

brilliant!

I loved this book. Fun, gripping albeit classic story. I have laughed out loud. The narrator's voice is not my favourite but well performed!
