Great!
A witty and well written and well narrated insight into the world of a video clerk at a porn rentals store. Found Ali's descriptions of the customers very interesting and honest. A very open and warm book.

True Porn Clerk Stories
This was a decent freebie. Easy to stop and start when you didn’t have much time.
An old school video tape rental place where people went to get a porn fix. I never lived through this age really. Scoring a few porn mags as a youngster and then in my teens internet porn became a thing. Porn clerks are a thing of the past. It’s interesting and funny.

Funny and full of interesting musings
Quite entertaining and filled with interesting anecdotes, stories and musings without being judgemental and falling into stereotypes. And a love for Aqua that Dr Jones would be proud of!

I was confused by the category v title
Writer is also the narrator liked the voice and how it was read. I am stunned that I listened, and think it was because I am a major people watcher. Funnier would have worked better for me.

didn't know what to expect... pleasantly surprised
Kept me listening. Enjoyed the format and narration. Could have happily listened to more. Author/narrator generated empathy for the main character.

You might bust a gut laughing!
A truly insightful and hilarious peek behind the desk at your local video store and the regulars who visit it. The author actually made me think a lot more about my perceptions of porn and sex and our societal attitudes towards it. But what really made this book brilliant was how easy it was to read, the way it made me laugh out loud like a loon as I did the housework and the skillful way the writer adds depth to what most of us would think was a godawful job.

It does what it says "on the tin".
What we have here are tales from an American woman who has clerked in a video rental store.
Amongst the videos in the store is an adult section downstairs.
The short tales relate to the store, the management, some of the customers, some of the customers' habits and some of the titles of the "porn"!
There is also a homage to the band Aqua. You have been warned.
Overall it was a lot better than I expected.
