You feel something is deeply wrong — but everyone tells you that you're overreacting. This book teaches you to recognize what others miss: the invisible abuse that leaves no bruises.
- Do you find yourself constantly second-guessing your own memory of events, even when you're certain what happened?
- Has your partner's version of reality slowly become the "official" version, even when it contradicts what you clearly remember?
- Do you feel like you're walking on eggshells, monitoring your own behavior constantly to prevent his withdrawal or quiet anger?
- Are you exhausted from explaining yourself, defending your perceptions, and trying to prove that your feelings are valid?
If you recognize yourself in these questions, you're not overreacting. You're not too sensitive. You're not imagining things. You're living in a relationship shaped by covert narcissistic abuse — the most insidious and least visible form of psychological manipulation, where the damage is profound but the abuser can smile and deny everything while your friends watch and see nothing wrong.
About the Author:
Andrea Reyes has spent fifteen years working directly with abuse survivors, running one of the largest peer-support communities for people recovering from psychological manipulation. She was herself in a covert narcissistic relationship for two years — long enough to understand, from the inside, why it's so hard to name what's happening. Her background in communication studies combined with her lived experience has given her a rare ability to translate complex psychological patterns into language that finally makes sense. She doesn't write as an academic authority. She writes as someone who sat exactly where you're sitting right now and found her way out.
