About this listen

One of the world's most renowned physicists presents a radical new vision of science. Here the late David Bohm describes scientific theory as the myth that drives our culture, and points out the fallacy of our belief system. He also presents his alternative for addressing the world's mega-problems through engaging in a new level of "dialogue" among small groups of people. His views are both challenging and profound.©1990 New Dimensions Foundation (P)2008 New Dimensions Foundation Spirituality

I'd like to start of by saying that it's a real pity that David Bohm is not better known or more widely read. He is a breath of fresh air in a time when Physics, as Lee Smolin would agree, is in crisis. The first incisive observation is that reality is not compartmentalised and part of our myopia is just that, that we have compartmentalised knowledge, to the extent that we cannot see beyond out own walls. Even within a subject this can be true. It certainly struck me that some of the theoretical dilemmas of today may well be self-imposed because of this and possibly some time in the future we will see things afresh and wonder what we were thinking back then. It certainly made me think that some of the quantum 'paradoxes' may not be paradoxes at all but seem so due to our current way of looking at things.

I had to listen to this a number of times to fully understand the concepts. So brilliant and rewarding for understanding almost everything.
Beautiful to listen to David speak, he has a rhythm and precision in the way he informs which is delightful.
