I downloaded this after reading a review in the Yorkshire Post. I thought it would be good to read a book based aroung the area I live in. It was ok. I found it hard to engage with the characters and the story line was topical but not very exciting. Jonathon Keeble narrated it well.

Enjoyable story with very pleasing ending. PCSO and his nan get caught up in human trafficking. His basic instincts and local knowledge and dedication see him and his nan at the centre of several cases. Nice to hear a story based in Doncaster and York. Interesting new angle on detective novels. Sit and enjoy.

I'm so glad that I decided to have a listen to a new author with Helen Cadbury's 'To Catch A Rabbit'. This was a police procedural from a fresh and refreshing angle. Our heroes are a humble PCSO who lives with his nan, a fast track SOCO excluded from the team and an admin worker at an immigration charity. With peripheral players at the centre of the action, the usual view of a detective thriller shifts - to very good effect. I did get a little lost with a change of time and place at one point - but I decided that was a good thing, I had to keep paying attention. I am very surprised at this being a first novel. There's a deft and confidence that seems very assured. I loved the light and sometimes almost whimsical tone that the story has - it's consistent through the whole book and helped me to feel submerged in the story. Jonathan Keeble did a sterling job at performing the wide range of characters. I'm going to give it a second listen, to see if the dream that one of the characters had makes any more sense - or if it was just the rabbit!

From beginning to end this story was gripping and beautifully written.

The narrator is incredible at giving tge characters identity with believable accents....except for the scouse one (sorry Jonathan). Each character he brings alive like no other narrator that I've listened to does. All who narrate books should listen to this chap and learn from his art.

The story has wonderful twists and turns throughout and without my revealing the plot it has an unsuspected ending.

Well worth buying and I'd highly recommend you listen to other books read by Jonathan Keeble.

10/10 from me for both Helen and Jonathan.
