About this listen

In recent decades, most innovation has come from a single sector (information technology) and a single place (Silicon Valley). Walter Isaacson's The Innovators and Peter Thiel's Zero to One shed light on how that happened and what drives innovation more generally.

this is Part 11 of the Foreign Affairs: Schumpeter's Heirs article, the final part.
interesting article, with a nice theme for the conclusion of the Schumpeter's Heirs bigger article, focused on the digital era growth, with examples like Twitter and Facebook/Meta. an interesting quote regarding a business -headcount is an odd way to determine its social value- which means that, especially in the digital era, impactful things can be created through autonomous systems even more than before.
i thought the entire overall article Schumpeter's Heirs was quite good, i would recommend it.
