Had the potential to be an incredible read

The story is decent but way too short for the effect it should've had. If you want to read this book I strongly recommend you actually read it rather than listen to the audio because email addresses and usernames of the characters are constantly repeated and it ruins the feel of the book. Was a good story, great idea as it's very different to other horrors I've read, but the length of the book really limits how good this could've been.

Good book but

The ending of the book was left out according to the physical book and I had to turn to the internet to find the rest

what the actual frick

it's not a bad story it's just needs to be developed, alot. there's little to no character development and it's so fast past it seems like it's just wierd and gross for the sake of being wierd and gross.

Not believable

The story was good, very gross in parts but the pace was too fast. It could have been fleshed out a little more.

Depraved

A gripping and sick tale about a woman who defends into madness following an encounter on a chat room in the year 2000

a filler story for sure

this story certainly works if you’re looking to pass time, but for the most part i found it to be a little lacking on substance and pushing incredibly hard on crafting a grotesque image that really loses its purpose in this story. despite it being centred around two characters entirely, the story feels a little bit as though it’s letting us down with regards to characterisation.

maybe just not the novella for me, but as i say. if you’re looking to pass the time and it’s floating in your library, it does the trick.

Horrifying plot

This made me cover my ears a few times! Trigger warning for VERY detailed animal deaths. Scary story with very good character development. Sadly the ending felt rushed and needed more impact or closure. Good narration for the characters, but didn't need to read the names/times/dates everytime. Short book and it was a good ride overall, but absolutely horrifying nonetheless.

Unique, creepy & unsettling

I’ve heard a lot about this book and decided to give it a ready considering it’s so short. I kind the way the book is laid out very unique; the fact it’s through chat messages and emails makes a little more interesting. This book does have its gory and unsettling moments, but isn’t too much which I appreciate sometimes. The ending is a little abrupt and sort of came out of no where; I would’ve liked to have had maybe a few more pages just to see a little more of the out come. But overall a solid story that is worth a quick read.

Disturbing but gripping

A disturbing tale yet equally gripping as we see a woman descend into desperation and madness before our very eyes.

I enjoyed the ending but did find myself rolling my eyes at several points in the novel where you can tell the female characters have so obviously been written by a man.

I liked the narrator and found the pace good.

Compelling.

Weak

It had great potential and then just withered away at the end. It could have had another few chapters and gotten darker and had a much better ending rather than the abrupt stop.
