Summary

Sadomasochism. Obsession. Death.

A whirlpool of darkness churns at the heart of a macabre ballet between two lonely young women in an internet chat room in the early 2000s - a darkness that threatens to forever transform them once they finally succumb to their most horrific desires.

Parts are uncomfortable at worst. the story’s pacing is strange as relationship underdeveloped for the severity of the actions portrayed in such a short amount of time. dialogue is repetitive and unbelievable. great premise but underworked and felt like a first draft

Just fine

However, i feel like it could have been better adapted to audiobook. The story mostly consists of transcripts of emails between the two characters, and every email starts with the narrator reading the entire email address, To, From, etc. that gets very repetetive and tiresome after a while. would recommend finding a way to shorten this after the first couple of emails.

great spooky story though!!

Great story and voice acting

The story is decent but way too short for the effect it should've had. If you want to read this book I strongly recommend you actually read it rather than listen to the audio because email addresses and usernames of the characters are constantly repeated and it ruins the feel of the book. Was a good story, great idea as it's very different to other horrors I've read, but the length of the book really limits how good this could've been.

Had the potential to be an incredible read

Audio book version constantly reading out the email address was irritating. Had potential but just felt a bit weird, story never really went anywhere and just felt a bit unfinished. Shock factor with no substance.

Bizarre

a very rushed ending, short and not worth a full credit- wait until its in a sale if you can. A glimpse at an interesting sub/dom relationship but ultimately shallow. Animal cruelty felt out of place, could have been an interesting point had the rest been fleshed out.
Good voice acting. The repetition of the characters usernames and emails almost made me stop reading out of irritation but given the hype around this book I pushed on.

a glimpse of something interesting but rushed
