A Potential Game-changer

This book is thorough and complete. Okay, maybe that's giving it too much credit. It won't tell you exactly how to write great copy but if you are looking for a mindset and strategy to grow your business through content marketing, if you are looking for long-term results, this is the book for you.

If you are impatient, cynical , lazy, or a procrastinator this is definitely not the book for you. If you are a skeptic, and provided you are willing to try, you may well be pleasantly surprised.

For the rest of you, I highly recommend. What are waiting for? Get it now!

Voice doesn't suit the book

The voice actor reading this was unfortunately chosen, and better suited to a Dickens novel. A fairly monotonous pseudo-British accent doesn't work well for an American author. It makes it hard to listen to, though the content is excellent.

Digital Agency Ready to Answer!

My name is Chris and I have been a fan of Marcus's for a while now. I was so excited to get his book. I own digital marketing agency (Colorado Web Impressions) and in my industry it's a lot like the car industry where people can get a bad reputation fast! Must read for marketers and entrepreneurs

This book did an amazing job of helping me understand the marketing mistakes I was making at my company. The solutions are simple, but easy to overlook or fear. This book also does a great job of tying marketing into sales.

Great Advice Badly Narrated

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Excellent book and sound advice that goes beyond the content marketing buzzwords and focuses on providing insights and advice for companies to follow in producing value-first content designed to appeal and attract prospects doing their pre-purchase research.

What was one of the most memorable moments of They Ask You Answer?

I appreciated the insights regarding how to get other departments within a company involved in the content creation process. It can be difficult to demonstrate the value of this approach to a sales team who feels writing articles doesn't fall within the scope of their duties. The book does a really good job of laying out a strategic approach to winning them over.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Paul Boehmer?

I was extremely disappointed in the narrator hired to read the book. The reader's voice sounds dated (like it's book on tape from the 70s or 80s) and the vocal emphasis seems "off" in many places. The delivery is robotic and patently unemotional. They would be better served to let the author read his own words.

Did They Ask You Answer inspire you to do anything?

The book inspired me to make more attempts at engaging other departments within the company to get involved with content creation.

Wow- I'm a believer

This is my first audiobook. And yes, I was skeptical to the idea of being able to follow along without visible text. I have listened to NPR, The Economist and several other periodicals in audio form but never have I listened to a book.

After the first chapter I realized that I fully understood the concepts outlined but I also felt more engaged than if I were reading directly from text. Each of us has our own way of learning and while I have come across so many books and topics that have interested me personally, I've struggled with the commitment required to read a book in its entirety.

I only wish I discovered audible.com sooner.
