This is the information Bible lovers want to know.

The reading of this book was superb. The content in it was just as good. A great book for any student of scripture and lover of history.

Couple of errors.

In a couple of places, BCE dates were give that should have been CE. In Chapter one it states that a lot of Christian writings were destroyed 150 BCE. Kind of hard to do. Also, it described Electors in Germany as the people who elected the Pope. The Conclave of Cardinals elects the Pope. The Electors in Germany elected the Holy Roman Emperor.

Pure Pablum for the masses

This book was very disappointing. While it may be great for a 12-year-old, or for someone totally unfamiliar with the history of the Holy Bible and its source documents, it was extremely boring for me. What a waste of my time and money.

I love the Holy Bible, and enjoy historical and scholarly books on the subject of "How the Bible came to be". However, this book just barely scratches the surface of this topic. It contains far too many "exciting stories" that have nothing whatsoever to do with the topic.

Pure pablum for puking babes. Not interesting nor useful to me. Can I get a store credit refund?
