I really liked tjis story. Intriguing and unpin/downable. The only drawback was that although the narration was good, the womans volume in her voice was a little too loud one one minute, yet almost whispering the next. Thus I needed to keep adjusting the volume.

This is an enjoyable book with some suspense and intrigue. But it’s difficult not to compare it to the dinner guest and version of the truth and it is not as good.

The book is slightly too long and has some quite big plot hours and annoyances within the script. But it is still enjoyable with an ending that didn’t disappoint.

I couldn’t connect with the story or characters.

It is worth a credit and it’s only by comparison to the other books that made me feel something was missing from this book that is in the others.
Overall I would recommend- but I would reccommend the other books by the author much more.

Entertaining but missing something

The first thing that annoyed me was that the female narrator was speaking in the first person with an English accent, but when it went to dialogue she was Australian - why wouldn’t you narrate in an Australian accent. Agree with others the narrator veered from really loud to whispering, so was always having to adjust the volume. The story itself was ridiculous - some really serious issues glossed over. A lot of unresolved ‘plot’ lines. Genuinely probably one of the worst books I’ve listened to for a while. At least it was free.

Awfuul

A miserable story where all women are horrible. The author has obviously mummy issues as all the mothers in the story including the protagonist are all revolting. Expect suffering, abuse, victimization, terrorist attacks, murder and twisted turns that degrade the plot further down to the gutter. No redeemable feature and no closure for anyone. Just fresh hell for the boy left behind. The performance of the voice actors is good.
