Amazing

One of my new favorite books! Wow. It is very life changing. I can’t wait to implement all of the ideas this book has taught me about student engagement. It makes me excited about teaching again. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this book to any educator, wether elementary, middle, or high school. 10 stars!!! Love Hope and Wade King!

Just okay

I think the concept of creating engaging lessons is great, but the book was very repetitive and dull.

Amazing things to think about!!!

I loved this book. This is my first year going into education, and I had no idea of what to think. Through reading this book and working on my Alternative Teacher Certification, I have so many ideas of things I want to implement and I know it will take time but I am looking forward to being in education more than I ever have before!!!

Loved it!

I really liked their ideas and stories. The only part I struggled with were their lists. I had to pull out my Kindle copy and read along with it so that I could keep up.

Good Book but a lot of repeating concepts

I did learn a lot from this book that I can apply but I would love to listen to a second book, with more strategies and ideas, rather than repeating concepts, stories.

Great Read

I was able to truly reflect on my teaching as I read this book. I don't do change easily however, their results motivated me to take the book seriously. I will be implementing more creativity into my classroom this coming up school year.

Take What You Need

Depending on what you are looking for, this books could be great for you.
I worry that although the book has a lot of great tips it could give a teacher a savior complex which is not healthy for the teacher or children. So use the tips you can, but don't feel like you have to give go your life to be a good teacher. Also, remember your job is important, but kids don't need saviors they need advocates. I want it noted that I don't think a savior complex is the intent of the book, and that what these educators do for their students is amazing.
