Which made her superhuman breakthrough in the Ashland Bombing, just before starting her freshman year at the University of Chicago, more than a little ironic. And now she has some decisions to make. Given the code-name "Astra" and invited to join the Sentinels, Chicago's premier super-team, will she take up the cape and mask and become a career superhero? Or will she get a handle on her new powers (superstrength has some serious drawbacks) and then get on with her life plan?

Despite her grandmother's last will and testament, Fee might be out of luck and on the street before she even gets settled. But when her new enemy floats belly up in her koi pond, she's the prime suspect in his murder! Can she uncover who the real killer is before the smoking-hot new sheriff puts her behind bars instead of asking her out on a date?
Summary
Urban legends actually happened, and tin-foil hats work. So when armed French waiters attack, what's a mom to do?
Food critic Lynn Grady is three bites into the duck pate when a voice in her head tries to sway the review. A stranger appears, blocks the voice with a tin-foil hat, and lures Lynn into a bizarre underground world where urban legends are real and the survivors battle the evil, pervasive Corporation.
Attacked by armed French waiters, Lynn defends herself with freestyle yoga and dirty basketball moves. She infiltrates the hidden underbelly of the Lexingham Mall, but can she stop her ex-husband’s mysterious experiment in time to save her daughter?
If you like Men in Black, Christopher Moore, Carl Hiaasen, Christopher Buckley, Kurt Vonnegut, Dave Barry, or Douglas Adams, don your tin-foil hat and discover the secret, zany world of The Urban Legion. Food courts and airport restrooms will never be the same.

BYO Tin Foil Hat
The Urban Legion, written by Dave Agans, pulls together about every urban legend you've ever heard of (and some you probably haven't) into a conspiracy-nuts ultimate fantasy. In this book, Agans world is one where all those legends have a basis in truth, but cartels (such as the truffle cartel) are working to keep it all suppressed.
This wasn't a bad story, but it did seem to wander around a lot for the sake of cramming in as many urban legends as possible. I did struggle at times to stay interested but persevered for the sake of finishing it.
Narration by Brad Holbrook varied quite widely from good to robotic. Almost at times as if being read by a text-to-speech program, then flipping to character acting, which was rather quite good.
Ultimately, not bad, but I doubt I'd go any further with the series nor revisit this for a relisten. Frustrating to listen to and follow at times.
I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I have not let this gift affect nor influence my opinions of this audiobook and have left an honest review.
