I first read Martina Cole’s The Take about 10 years ago and remember watching the show with my Mum. I still love it now as much as I did then and can relate to real life Jackie’s, Maggie’s, Jimmy’s and even unfortunately Freddy’s.

Great read, pacing of it is fantastic and you’ll despise Jackie just as much as a I do!

Great introduction to Martina Cole.

Would maybe include a trigger warning at the start but other than that is fantastic!

One of my all time favourite Martina Cole books, great story line and characters, narration is also good which can make or break a book when listening on audible. So many twists and turns a brilliant read .
